I have just vandalised my mouse! It has multiple buttons including a wheel mouse button – you can press down on the wheel and it will click! only one real problem it’s not a function I use but…. the wheel grinds on the button top. It makes a horrid scraping noise when you scroll up or down.
My solution (vandal) was to open up the mouse remove the board thereby gaining access to the scroll wheel – remove the wheel then with a pair of snips cut off the top of the switch! the scroll wheel no longer catches on the switch so my scroll function is smooth – at the cost of no central switch…. I still have two other switches on the side of the mouse so an acceptable loss for a quite scroll at last 🙂
